Estimating Assistant

Kingswood Group are pleased to be supporting a growing Romford based construction company with the recruitment of an Estimating Assistant.  

Working within the pre-construction team, this role is key in providing administration to the team and ensuring information is shared within allocated timeframes. 

Duties will include;

  • Reviewing tender documentation and distribute to relevant team members
  • Checking tender documents to ensure that received documents match to issue sheets
  • Liaise with the Estimator to resolve queries
  • Collate enquiry packs
  • Liaise with sub-contractors, consultants and customer teams via email and telephone
  • Print, distribute and file quotations received
  • Chase quotations from sub-contractors and maintain an up to date register of enquiries issued/responses received
  • Ensure system reflects status of tenders received/won/lost
  • Print, distribute and file all correspondence as soon as received in relation to tenders
  • Assist the office administration team in answering telephone calls

Skills required:

  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Administration experience desired
  • Organised and methodical approach
  • Confident on Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
