Kingwood Group are pleased to be currently supporting a large firm of accountants with the recruitment of a Payroll Assistant/Executive for a 12 month contract. New to the team, this position is key in the administration of a large monthly payroll.
The job:
You will be supporting the Payroll Manager and another Assistant processing the internal payroll beginning to end. You will liaise with various teams including HR, finance and manage all employee queries via phone and email.
Duties will include;
- Day to day administration of staff payroll
- Processing year end P60s
- Producing manual payroll calculations
- Experience of SMP/SAP, SPP and SSO
- Knowledge of Auto-Enrolment and other pension schemes
- Producing reports on the internal system and Excel
- Carry out payroll analysis
- BACs payments
- Resolve issues as required
Experience required/desired:
- Internal payroll or bureau experience 2+ years
- Up to date knowledge of current payroll legislation
- Confident in using payroll software
- Good IT skills, intermediate level of Excel is essential (pivot tables, VLook ups)
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
- Organises own work and prioritises tasks
- Good numeracy skills
- Demonstrates attention to detail and a high concern for accuracy
