Payroll Officer

Kingswood Group are delighted to be recruiting a Payroll Officer for their education sector client, based in Chelmsford.

This role works in collaboration with both the HR and finance team, with responsibility for processing staff payroll.

Duties to include:

  • Monitoring monthly salary increments, calculate new salaries and ensure salary deductions are made correctly
  • Input salary changes, including new joiners and leavers
  • Support and prepare salary calculations for job offers and adverts
  • Print and distribute payslips
  • Complete monthly returns for PAYE, student loans and NI
  • Processing monthly pensions auto enrolment
  • Answer and advise on ad-hoc payroll requests and queries from employees

Experience required:

  • Previous payroll experience at Assistant level or equivalent 
  • Experience of PASS – not essential but desirable
  • The ability to work self-sufficiently and can demonstrate initiative
  • Strong communications skills

This role is based on site full time and offers an excellent working environment and package.
