The Lord’s Taverners is the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity. They break down barriers and empower disadvantaged and disabled young people to fulfil their potential and build life skills. Kingswood Group are a sponsorship partner with Essex County Cricket, so we wanted to support a charity linked to cricket and support young people through sport.
Children Education Charity
“The Little Edi Foundation is a Chelmsford based non-profit where children and young people are at the heart of the organisation. We believe all children should have equal access to education and learning development, enabling them to reach their full potential. To help achieve this we regularly support children and young people from disadvantaged social and economic backgrounds in Essex, often with emotional and learning difficulties. Our normal organisational activities focus on creating development opportunities for disadvantaged and disengaged 13-18 year olds from Essex to engage in social action through volunteering. The majority of our youth volunteers are from disadvantaged social and economic backgrounds, often with health and emotional difficulties. To ensure equal access to opportunities, we work closely with local schools, youth clubs and social services to reach disadvantaged adolescents who often experience barriers to volunteering opportunities through discrimination and a lack of information.”
