HR Consultant – Employee Relations & Mediation
Brief overview of your career to date:
Lucy has 20 plus years’ experience as an HR generalist and held various senior roles within a large Facilities Management company during a period of rapid growth. Since becoming an independent HR Consultant in 2019, Lucy has worked with a variety of organisations and sectors. Lucy is MCIPD qualified and obtained and more recently, has trained as a Workplace Mediator (ILM accredited).
Lucy specialises in Employee Relations and offers support for all employment matters, including:
- Conflict Management (grievance/disciplinary case
management, a full investigation service,
- Workplace Mediation (for early/informal conflict
- Performance management.
- Key Employment Law updates.
- Documentation (employment contracts, policies,
- Restructure, redundancy, TUPE.
- Capability, long/short term sickness absence
- Employee leave (flexible working, family
Interesting fact(s) about you:
Lucy sits as a non-legal member in the Employment Tribunal, which provides a unique insight into a variety of organisations and the opportunity to explore employment law issues from an alternative angle this experience helps her to help her clients avoid the pitfalls that can lead to litigation. Lucy also volunteers for the charity ‘Pregnant then Screwed’, which supports pregnant and working mothers. Lucy started as an Employment Helpline Advisor and now mentors women going through the Employment Tribunal process (who are often unrepresented).
